Jill Allread

Jill Allread, APR, is an owner at PCI - a mid-size, national public relations firm headquartered in Chicago that has an extensive practice working with environmental and conservation clients.
Her 25 years as in communications included 13 years as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers. She gained experience working for mission-driven, nonprofits working as director of external affairs for the Chicago Zoological Society’s Brookfield Zoo.
At PCI she counsels numerous clients including the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, the largest AIDS/HIV grant making organization in the Midwest; the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums, the John G. Shedd Aquarium, Chicago Wilderness, The National Elephant Center and other organizations and companies that rely on strategic public/private partnerships to help raise awareness of their messages and mission.
Her commitment to working with conservation and nonprofit organizations carries into her volunteer service as a commissioner and past chair of the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission, a board member of Openlands, and founding board member of Girls in the Game. In 2007, she received PRSA’s national Paul L. Lund Public Service Award for her community and public service.
